Yeap. They're getting worse and worse. The tighter their fist clenches the more witnesses will be slipping through their hands. -

Do you consider this site Godly or Ungodly
by Truthexplorer inover the years, i have seen a change in heart with the country i grew up in and the general view of what they perceive as how everyone should view things in relation to morality.
a strictly religious country for centuries now forever changed within a short number of years.
i have also seen the viewpoint on this site gradually change in many ways.

“Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon, than the Word of God. It is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my own part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.”
Thomas Paine - The Age of Reason. From the Online Library of Liberty - The Writings of Thomas Paine, Volume IV ,Page 34
“But the belief of a God is so weakened by being mixed with the strange fable of the Christian creed, and with the wild adventures related in the Bible, and the obscurity and obscene nonsense of the Testament, that the mind of man is bewildered as in a fog.
“A man, by hearing all this nonsense, lumped and preached together, confounds the God of the Creation with the imagined God of the Christians, and lives as if there was none.
“Of all the systems of religion that were ever invented, there is none more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory in itself, than this thing called Christianity.”

After 2 years my parents make contact. The end result is that I promise them to cryogenically preserve ONLY their heads
by paulmolark init has been 2 and a half years since my departure from the religion.
i was told by my parents from the start that i would never speak to them until i returned to jehovah dog.
a few months later they told people they hoped i died before the end came, then all of this culminating in them telling my inactive / fading sister that they don't consider me a child anymore and they have given me up to satan.

Just curious Paul, if it's not too personal, were you disfellowshipped or did you drop out? -

"...increasingly alarmed at the views of those who even suggest that God has Got things wrong, that his son Jesus would not have such a opinion,..."
There was no one to get anything wrong in the first place.
"...that the bible is nonsense etc. "
It is nonsense and I provided a link above to guide people to those nonsensical scriptures.
"...oh come on...think about it!"
We've thought about it long enough.
"For me, Gods standards NEVER change. I fully believe that Gods word was inspired and that his moral standards are for our (mankind's) benefit....absolutely. Wake up people"
Those standards that NEVER change include executing a man for gathering firewood during the Sabbath; forcing a rape victim to marry her rapist; executing a woman for not being a virgin on her wedding night. How dare you set those up as holy standards.
"The world is upside down in their thinking.
The world was upside down during the Inquisition; the Catholic Protestant wars; the execution of Mary Dyer; the Taiping rebellion and so forth. All of them were following "God's ways".
"Gods ways are the best ways. the wholesome ways, the right ways."
Allahu Akbar.

Irreligious- Bill Maher
by purrpurr ini just watched this film on netflix.
if you haven't seen it its worth watching just for the ways he demolishes the religious advocates he interviews.. the most worrying things i saw in it were the us senator who says that having a high iq isn't a criteria for being senator and also all the muslims he interviews who despite claiming to have read the quran also claim that islam is a religion of peace..

Simon:
"It's a great movie, well worth watching (but isn't it called Religulous?)"
Simon, this video does not show in the US. It shows a message saying "This video contains content from Lionsgate, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

"...all the Muslims he interviews who despite claiming to have read the Quran also claim that Islam is a religion of peace."
Those moderate to Liberal Muslims are rationalizing their scriptures and history because they want to be peaceful and don't want to follow that aspect of Islam. That is no different from Jews and Christians who also rationalize the Old Testament which is a religion of barbarism and genocide. So, while I'm not naïve as to what Islamic history has been I get peeved when Fundamentalist Christians criticize them when their own historical sh!t stinks just as bad.

I found something useful the Witnesses do for society.
by adjusted knowledge ini'm currently working at a rehab facility.
it also has assisted living, long term care, and hospice.
the facility allows churches to sign up for planned activities.
